Shopify setup and review

Start with scores, review the evidence and choose how much to automate.

Install and activate

  1. Install Vruza using the app installation link provided for your store. If you do not have a link, contact support for availability.
  2. Open Vruza from Apps in Shopify Admin. Review the terms, privacy policy and shared reputation disclosure.
  3. If you have authority to connect the store and agree to the processing, complete activation in the app. Provide the necessary customer disclosures for your store.
  4. Start in Score only mode and place a COD order to check the flow. Shopify events are processed in the background; refresh the app after the order is placed.

Shopify Admin supplies the store session. Signing into the standalone Vruza dashboard with Google or email does not install or connect a Shopify store.

Choose an automation mode

  • Score only: the default for new stores. Save scores for review without changing Shopify tags, risk assessments or fulfillment holds.
  • Tag and assess: write order tags and risk assessments to Shopify without placing holds.
  • Tag, assess and hold for review: also attempt a hold on eligible COD fulfillment orders when the score is below your threshold and the minimum prior-order history is met.

Under Order automation, choose a mode and save the settings. For holds, choose a threshold from 1 to 500 and minimum prior orders from 1 to 100. Lower scores mean more risk. Changes govern future processing; they do not automatically release holds already placed.

Trusted customers, approved orders and historical imports bypass automatic holds. Shopify fulfillment state and permissions can prevent a hold. Check the recorded fulfillment result rather than assuming every flagged order was held.

Review and release an order

  1. In Order assessments and review, select Needs review or hold release.
  2. Read the saved score, reasons, available history and fulfillment status. Compare them with your own knowledge of the customer.
  3. If you decide to ship, approve the order. Approval releases only Vruza's own risk-review hold. Check Shopify for holds placed by another app or by Shopify.
  4. If release fails, check the error and fulfillment state before retrying. A review decision does not guarantee that Shopify released the fulfillment.

A saved assessment describes evidence available when that check ran. Later outcomes can change the customer's current reputation without rewriting that earlier assessment.

Trust customers and correct outcomes

Use Trust customer for this store when your own experience supports an exception. Trust applies only to your store and bypasses automatic holds; it does not raise a shared score or grant trust in another store. Remove trust when the exception no longer applies.

Use Save outcome / correction to record delivered, rejected, returned, cancelled, unreachable or damaged, with a reason. Report delivered only with evidence of delivery and payment. Shopify fulfillment alone does not establish either, and cancellation alone does not establish a refused delivery.

Record corrections against the original order so its contribution can be updated. See Understanding risk scores for how outcomes affect reputation.

Import historical orders

Use Import next history batch under Historical orders, then follow the progress message. Available history depends on the app's order-access permissions; older orders may require additional authorization.

Historical imports never tag, hold, cancel or message old orders. Import scores use evidence available today, not a reconstruction of what Vruza would have known on the original order date. A fulfilled order is not automatically counted as delivered.

Customer privacy requests

Submit customer access and deletion requests through Shopify's customer privacy tools. After processing, export parts appear in Vruza's Customer privacy requests section. Verify the customer's identity and provide files only to that customer; each part expires after 30 days.

For corrections, disputes or assistance, contact privacy@vruza.ai. Do not send customer records to the general support inbox.

Uninstall, reinstall and troubleshoot

Uninstall Vruza through Shopify Admin to disconnect the store. This disables the integration and clears its stored Shopify credentials. Uninstalling is not an immediate deletion of every stored record; see the retention and deletion policy.

Before uninstalling, review outstanding Vruza holds in Shopify and release any you no longer need. Reinstalling requires Shopify authorization again. Open the app and check its activation and automation settings before placing a fresh test COD order.

If no assessment appears, confirm activation, check that the order uses COD and has a usable phone number with country code, then refresh after background processing. For an error, send support your store domain, the time and error text, without credentials or customer personal data.
